@MemberOfThe86Kliq I like that too.

"The background music is so annoying in this context" - just like I will say!

what idiot put this music over the interview?

Dirty boy!

This is absolutely the worst interview ever. The interviewer has no skill whatsoever, and I'm surprised Perkins held it together that long & didn't get up & leave.
Yes, the background music drowns out the interview. They probably had their mic on one channel & music on the other. When they uploaded it, they didn't adjust the 2nd channel music

yes music much too loud and obtrusive

They wouldn't cast Eva Marie Saint because she was 42 in 1966......way too old for a leading lady in movies back then.

Thanks a lot for posting this interview. I didn't know that Hitchcock wanted Perkins for Professor Armstrong in Torn Curtain (1966). I think Perkins would have done a great job if he was given the role. Unfortunately, Universal forced Hitchcock to cast Paul Newman. Paul Newman's peformance in Torn Curtain was just ok. Hitchcock also wanted Eva Marie Saint for the leading female role in Torn Curtain. But the studio forced him to cast Julie Andrews.
The background music is so annoying in this context that I almost smashed my computer.

This clip is unwatchable because of the loud background music.
