There's not many of these unique and beautiful country gardens left in Ireland. Large modern bungalows are replacing the traditional small country home. You still find some thatched Irish cottages, but they are mainly used for tourist accommodation.

This house is lived in by a family who've been there for a long time, and who would blame them?

It's near Sligo, by a lake, and that's all I'm telling you.

Enjoy the visit.

  • Hello back colourful Rose:)

  • Hmmm...This whole artificial birds and dwarfs are in my opinion only kitsch. It is my subjektively opinion. I understand if somebody like this kind of ornaments. I like truely natural gardens at all, and I like the true bees and butterflies flying over the flowers...

  • thanks for your comments, love your icon:)

  • Thank you for your comments. We have taken note of them, and amended the description accordingly.

It was certainly not our intention, nor our practice to deride a persons unique creative endeavor.

We wish you all the best.

  • I can't stop looking a this video! I love it!! It makes me want to make one in my yard! In fact I am going to start an Irish coutry garden in the future!!

  • Thanks Rickdownunder

It is a beautiful garden, in a divine location. What attracted us to the garden, is it's simplicity.

Also, my grandmother had one very similar up the mountain where we come from.

These people don't have time to plan and preen a garden. They simply love a good hardy flowering plants, add a few pots and you are there.

Do start an Irish county garden, and don't forget to post a video of it online and tell us. All the best.

  • This is a beautiful garden in a lovely setting. I was sorry to hear the garden referred to as "unsophisticated" however. That judgment was in poor taste as well as derogatory towards the creator of this space, imho.

  • This is a beautiful country garden and I really like this cute garden..

Many thanks for Sara for sending me this video..

    Best wishes
