This is the Allan McNish wreck 52 minutes into the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans. Somehow, he walked away from it seemingly okay. It only happened about 40 minutes ago, so I don't know any injury details which may have occurred.

It is absolutely essential that McNish gets a brain scan (probably already has had one) and that he pays close attention to how he feels the next 48 hours. An impact like that can cause life-threatening injuries that don't become visible to the person for some time. I'm certain Audi's doctors and the circuit's neurologists are all aware of this and have done as much as can be done to make sure he's ok.

Scariest moment of his career? Sadly, about 20 years back, a spectator wasn't so lucky in an accident that was no fault of McNish.
