was wondering what headers yoiu used. Wanna make sure i get a pair with enough clearance

Hey im doing virtually this same swap.  but into a 66 lemans with a th 400 tranny.. how difficult was it and wut did u have to modify

It was easy, It was tight but i did not modify anything, I also have the 400 tranny. good luck with yours

U didnt even have to modify the driveshaft? I think the th 400 is longer then the 2 spd.

the first tranny i had was a th 350 3 spd. my 400 is the same length, the 400 just have a bigger axle, so i got another yoke.. thats pretty much it.

Sounds more like a bad starter or too much resistance in the cables/connections.

Too much initial timing, back the distributor off.

You got a little too much advance set in...its working against itself.

Sonds sweet, but you got a couple plug wires crossed. misfiring. Check your firing order. I can tell by the way it's idling, and the hard starting.

that was most certainly out of time on the distributor! thats why you got that drag on the starter.
