The Siberian tiger is called the soul of the taiga by the hunters and shamans of the Primorskiy region. For them its a sacred animal which is the incarnation of their ancestors spirits. Tigers have been inhabiting the deep forests of Primorskiy region for centuries and managed to avoid the hunters gun. But the constant encroachment of civilisation upon the taiga puts these exquisite creatures in danger of total extinction. Siberian tigers, their survival and people who are trying to protect tigers from dying out are the focus of the next installment of the Meeting with Nature series.

  • I can't believe some Chinese are so ignorants! They think if they eat Tiger penise soup it will turn their needledicks into horsedicks. For them Javan tiger, Balinese tiger, and Caspian tiger is already extinct. Now they gonna extinct South China tiger, Siberian tiger, and Bengal tiger. I wonder what they gonna eat for their needledicks when they couldn't find a single tiger in the wild? Must be house cat penis soup.

  • Tigers are beautiful and precious animals. I hope Russia does everything to prevent them from extinction and to stop the poachers. RTs report was very interesting.

  • I'm within 5miles from a Tiger park and never have I been. I'm hoping I get the chance to go for my birthday..

  • we should stop killing tigers they are on the verge of extintion.. siberian tigers are almost extint.. our next generation will never see them in wild.

  • god damn the Chinese...

  • @joehopkins000 Don't forget the Bali tiger is also extinct.

  • The only thing about this movie that is more impressive than the majesty and beauty of these gorgeous charismatic tigers is the squalid venal nastiness of human beings----whose unprincipled greed and stupidity are even greater than the tiger's wonderful natural superiority. Props to the Russkies for showing this on Novosti and also to Putin for "adopting" a pet tiger rescued from certain death in the wild. Can they do for the tiger what Teddy R did to rescue the buffalo in the USA?

  • @lupoforme your the only person on this that I dont see calling russians gay. thanks 4 the dignity

  • due to communism in china and russia there are very little laws against loggers and poachers and i think whithin 20 to 30 years there will be none left there in the wild, only in captivity where they are protected.

  • Really? That`s great news! Thx a lot for telling me.
