I bought the screws that Onyx Forge sells to secure the bolt on screws on my Fender Strat. Let me tell you. It's such a great upgrade!!!!!!!! My neck was stripped and moved easily until I installed these. The sustain improved and the guitar stays in tune so nicely. This guy knows what he's talking about. I called and he was great to deal with. I will consider buying one of his guitars. The tone is really nice.

Yeah, its a unique vibe. You need to be ok with playing something different. Some guys need to play the "gear of the stars". These are for the guy who can't find it GC. I don't think there are too many of us, fortunately. Hopefully I'll see your guitar soon!

That one sounds really nice, i was considering ordering an onyx forge but with so many choices, i have a dilemna, what kind of pickups are those you have in that one?

Hi, these are Duncan Pearly Gates, with a blend pot, and a JR Baggs piezo bridge. Also the frets are stainless which makes it brighter although easily managed with amp / tone control settings. It is my most versatile guitar and can do jazz, blues, country, or serious rock. It has a unique tone but covers the Les Paul style pretty well.

very nice, i've never heard of stainless frets....are there any disadvantages to them?

The tone is a bit brighter, some people don't care for that. Also if the guitar is not built properly or needs fret work, they are nasty on fret tools, but that's not an issue on the Onyx Forge guitars. I think the tone issue is managed easily with amp settings or tone controls, but if you are wanting (for example) true vintage strat sound, you should probably stick with standard frets. SS frets last at least 4-5X longer.
