@rollinmg Kucinich is dead wrong on "Social Democracy." It failed, if you go to Europe, they tax CONSUMPTION! Like the 25% VAT in Sweden. They found out that people will not work for more if the top income tax is above roughly 42%..that IS NOT socialism...it is a farce!...not to mention that the Corporate tax is lower than the income tax...NOT SOCIALISM!

What we need is filibuster back to how it used to be...have them stand and read...like real men. I love to see how long they last and how firm is their resolve. LOL

The NHS is the greatest achievement that any democratic British government has made to date. It brings a level of care to untold millions of people throughout my country. People who would not receive care in a private system.

The rich live well in every country, what should be regarded as separating developed nations from undeveloped ones is a system of free healthcare. It should be a basic human right. At the moment the poor suffer a lack of healthcare in the most prominent country on Earth.

@paintbrushteeth The NHS continually runs deficits and has a mediocre record for disease treatment...the British really should look to the Swiss on that issue...they seem to have the best insurance setup in Europe.

I like Kucinich idea better but I cant help to praise Obama middle ground, too bad republicans are putting up that show. True leaders try to reason, they are just doing the same they did during elections, bashing and using fear to confuse people....and dont tell me im wrong, both sides got dirty hands but everyone knows the republican strategy. Fear and more fear.

Republicans and democrats put up the same legislation all the time. But Obama is driving towards the edge of the cliff at 200 mph while McCain woulda just driven at 55. In less than one year, Obama has amped up all of Bush's bad policies, and is going to sign in one of the most radically unconstitutional bills a lot of people have seen in their lifetimes. The guy is a straight corporate communist, and he is just boldly taking us unwillingly I might add, into an authoritarian system.

Well there is always 2016, im sure the voting system will remain until then and you'll vote for your 55mph politician. Still I would love a chance to a 400mph+ candidate....200 is too slow, well i guess better than 55 :(
