When you think of powerful, stylish and affordable notebook computers there are a few names that immediately pop into the typical uberGeek mind.... and Gateway probably isn't one of them. --- Though us older uberGeeks will remember when it was nothing but a good thing to have cow spots on the side of your computer, younger geeks don't have nearly as many good memories about this venerable company.
I have many Gateway boxes come through my labs over the years and I have always been a fan of their simple and yet powerful design, but the brutal truth is that the last decade has seen Gateway descend into mediocrity, poor service and lackluster products....

That was then.... this is NOW.....

With Gateway's acquisition by Acer, the company has completely revamped its desktop lineup, added killer products like the XHD3000 Multimedia Monitor, and given its notebooks attitude, style and the power to back it up.

On this episode, we take a look at the Gateway M-151X: A midrange notebook which proves that affordable notebooks don't have to be slow, boring or stripped-down. We run this beautiful box through its paces to see if Gateway's new direction leads through our uberGeek backyard.

i have the t-series RED.. i loove it... except the speakers broke... my dad did some thing to it. but the head phones still work !!!

Just wondered if the HDMI out would work on TV sets in Europe (Polish PAL/SECAM) which are equipped with HDMI ports?
