Hi,
I'm glad you stepped in and also make a vlog to increase awareness about this issue of homophobia. It is not the end of the world if kids make a mistake, they can learn from it, respectful dialogue has to happen, kids can learn from parents even though parents may disagree what they did. Respect is two-way street. You have to let a bird fly free, you cannot always hold a bird tight in your hand forever, it is same with children.

Bless u for taking a stand against heterosexualism. Homophobia is very damaging especially when directed at children. You are right that a high number of teenage suicides and attempted suicides were related to the stigma folks put on what it means to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender. Homophobic attitudes can be very damaging. Even when parents are accepting and loving g/l/b/t youth still struggle. Thank u again for saying - "that ain't cool" and for sharing this vlog.

I have been fighting against homophobia in Youtube and DVTV with vlogs telling those to stop bashing deaf gays. Sadly some people in DVTV grew tired of hearing me and wish I would stop bringing up same topics or take it somewhere else. This shows you some rather be blind than help the gays to fight against gay bashers. Tar, thanks for sharing your story. We need to protect the underage from being hurt by abusive homphobia family members.
