@girlsknow - everyone is entitled to their opinion so if I say its not art to me then its not art to me. So what.

@MeowCatseye as someone else said LIGHTEN UP! Sheesh - everyone is entitled to an opinion and by the way I am a fibre artist, bear maker and craft person who sells my works in a number of places so that makes me a professional artist! My opinion is just as valid as anyone elses. I still stand by my OPINION that this is not art but just a cat having a play and sharpening his claws. I love cats but would not consider anything my kitties did as art.

@ahhigiveup Sorry, last time I checked you weren't the person who gets to decide what is art and what is not. Art can be found anywhere.

This is truly adorable and creative and I love it....You have to have a big open brain to appreciate the artist before us here , and some people just don't get it. I do....and I love the fact that you celebrate his talent! Good for you!!!

really the cat is fantastic!

Henry knows precisely where to out his paws smart kitty 8-)

Uhhh, yeah. I repeat lighten up. Nobody's asking to put it in The Smithsonian. The cat had fun, people enjoyed the exhibit and people enjoy this video. LIGHTEN UP!

Well if the cat actually made the item rather than destroying something that was already created then you might say it is art. My cats vomit must be considered art then!

This is magnificent! Thank you!

Lighten up!
Very cute kitty and I have 2 cats myself but art? I think not. A bit of shredded carpet is just a ruined bit of carpet. If he is a fibre artist then I must be a f master of fibre design! It really puts down all people who do fibre work to call this kitty a fibre artist. Sorry but this is not art in any way, shape or form.

Actually, I am a fiber artist, and my display at the Bangor Public Library helped to open the door to Henry's work being displayed there as well. If you could see how he looked at the piece of carpet from all angles and considered what he was going to do before he began to scratch, you might have a different viewpoint about Henry and his work. In fact, I have had people tell me that they had a difficult time believing that a cat had created such an in-depth fiber art wall hanging.
