Jesus IS the Jewish Messiah. So Singer compares it to worshiping Moses? The Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Jesus is worthy of worship. He is the Holy One of Israel.

If I did not love, I would not have told you about Christ. Jesus is the Jewish Messiah who came and made atonement for our sins at His first coming that whoever repents and trusts alone in Him will be saved from eternal damnation.

Those who are under the Law, will be judged by the Law which is the revelation of God's holy nature. We are all sinners. We are wicked and have broken the laws of God. What Christ did was that He willingly gave up His life on the cross and died and rose again the third day to be a substitute for us. The Father treated Him like He lived our lives, but whoever believes in Him will be treated like he lived His life. There is no other Way but Christ Himself.

Here is one more thing I don't buy.

I don't buy "You shall love your Lord with all your might, with all your heart, with all your being."

I don't understand how can anyone, even God, demand love. One can bully another person into fear, or treat him in a way that would at least try to win his respect. But when it comes to love, it's entirely up to him or her. There is simply nothing one can do.
