HOT ROD did a side-by-side comparison of the GoPro HD Hero, Replay XD 1080, Drift HD 170, and Contour 1080p. In this comparison we tested video and audio quality in different conditions, racing on the drag strip and autocross and blasting some onramps. See which one wins!
I have the Contour Roam and in all respects I am happy except that you cannot adjust for lighting and that is the biggest disappointment for me. It doesn't capture much at all at night except on the most brightly lit roads (and we're talking about lots of streetlights on a major road to be able to see anything). The Replay was not on my radar when I purchased and I did not see any night videos before purchase and stupidly assumed the Roam would capture more than pure blackness most of the time.

the replay isnt as wide, and the mounts arent as usible in my opinion. i have a drift, and its ncie that it has a scren, but the mounts on it are terrible. nearly useless.

@Galvoflysoz you can adjust all the parameters of the replay and contour to change contrast, brightness, and so on where you can't with go pro. these are just out of the box.....you can make either of those 2 look WAY better than the go pro imo

@makofoto a heavier camera is MORE prone to shaking. more weight=more leverage to wiggle the mount
