Dingell: Cap-and-trade a big tax

cap and trade has the right idea on limiting pollution, but the way that congress is going about it, theyre simply lining their pockets and taking even more power away from the people. How about this, instead of trading off pollution credits/fines, how about they penalize the CEOs of the company that is overpolluting with jail time? If you or I were caught polluting time and time again, we'd go to jail. Why can't they?

What this bill does is pass the hightest tax hike in the history of the U.S. Obama takes over every building in America.New and old buildings will have to be built with materials Obama tells you, you will have to use toasters,light bulbs etc that Obama tells you. You refuse the energy police come in and arrest you and fine you a 1,000 dollars a day till you obey. Than they can kick you out of your home. That's why Waxman dropped his 309 page amendment at 3 am the night of the vote.

If Cap and Trade passes, ignore it, don't enforce it. The axe swings both ways, if the federal government does unconstitutional atrocities daily, then we may simply ignore these completely unconstitutional federal laws and executive departments.

I have a plan that works. Overthrow these criminals and take back our country and return it to the people as was intended by our founding fathers.

How do we avoid the mistakes they made?

If you do anything, the Government will only expand it bit by bit and we will lose the creativity of the free market to deal with energy issues in a way that will lead the world.

Dingle, US has not lead the world due to Senators sitting around doing it. It is freeing up the market to do its good with at best the gov being a catalyst.

Find a way to build in free markets into this without any GOV!
