Antharam depicts the difference between the rich and the poor in our country. Even after 58 years of Independence, our people are still left back in the situation as it was during the time of independence. There has been no changes.. It's just that, the ruler has changed from a foreigner to one among us. Has that made any difference??
In this movie, through the beggar's eyes, I have tried to portray the realistic situation in our country today, where the poor people's situations are becoming worse and the rich men are growing wealthier through the days.
In this movie it's the beggars eyes that make us travel throughout our nation, and its all black and white in nature cause he has never been able to experience the joyful aspect of life due to the need for his existence.
