Even though I loved both characters dearly, I always thought Iris was a bit too old to be Mac's daughter -- they looked more like brother and sister.

Thank you for sharing these clips. I have seen some 1980 AW and it just seemed like Iris was gone. This is some nice background.

@BruhTV I think it was because Douglass was very vigorous for his age and Beverlee looked a bit older and was made up to look older.

I just found these old clips and love them. Texas was my 1st soap I got hooked on and watched it from the beginning until the show cancelled.. I love me some Alex and Iris love story.

i know iris did some nasty things but you couldnt help loving her. she could be so vulnerable at times.
