@libbeingcool In regards to Gina Gershon, she hasn't had a feature role in any major motion picture since 1996's "Bound." In the last 15 years, she's done mostly guest appearances on sitcoms, and voice over acting for adult cartoon shows like Family Guy, American Dad, and Tripping the Rift.

@libbeingcool I think it was more than that. I think the reason the movie was hyped because it was directed by Paul Verhoeven, the same guy who worked on Robocop 1, Basic Instinct, and Total Recall. What's not as well known is that Starship Troopers is the only blockbuster movie he directed between 1993 and now.
