I edited together the scenes with Omar in jail, from The Wire, Season 4, including the failed assasination attempt (with subs) This is about the only time Omar is shown even a little afraid. In the lockup, Omar is seeing some of those who saw the end of his shotgun, dealers or others he had ripped off. He knows also theres a price on his head so he's a walking target. Fortunately two huge scary guys (great casting!) who he thinks for a second are there to get him, turn out to be body-guards for him, arranged by Omar's friend Butchie. A very nice touch is that home-made body armor, strapping books onto Omar's body. Which it did! And yes, in case you're wondering where Omar sunk his knife into the guy who tried to kill him, you guessed right. "Omar sending a message y'all". Brilliant acting as always, from Michael K. Williams as Omar. You are tops MKW.

I read one of the bodyguards is one of the real Baltimore stickup guys who the character of Omar was based on (Donnie Andrews, "in on a 5-22").

The guy who is helping Omar, the one in the black hat ( his real name is Donnie Andrews ) was the real life Omar. They based the character off of him. Theres an interview with him on youtube explaining it all...Thanks for clip, nice upload.
