    No dumbass, the push bottoms you see there are for the generators saftey. The smallest box is probably the best one there, it has 6 breakers and like I was saying, if one breaker item surges like your well pump, instead of that little breaker popping on the generator, it does on the box.

  • was debating between the first one ( sold by home depot for about $280) and the second one ( sold by Costco for $300) . I see the differences - looks like the one from Costco is way better.. Thanks

  • Interlock Kit is a much better choice.

  • these things are good but they make a mess of your panel wiring and you have to have the wall space to mount it. There is a kit that goes on the front of your existing panel that makes your panel a transfer switch. You will have to turn off loads are to big (say AC of electric heat) but boy is it easy. Google interlock kit to find the company.
