Shamshad and Amir Bai both have sung this song superbly ,inclusion of Shamshad 's version in the film does not import that she has edge over Amirbai,

This version by Amirbai is also superb ; however , SHAMSHAD's version has a great
deal of P O W E R and a NATURAL FORCE which goes a long way to lend a haunt
and a lasting S T R I K E at the HEARING AND RECEIVING END of the LISTENER.

In this particular number, Amir Bai has a better throw and sounds more soulful, with all due respect to Shamshad Begum, whose version is a great one too. Perhaps Shamshad was very young in 1953.

Technically Amir Bai is better than shamshad begum.Shamshad sung very good but the grip and command of amir bai is better.

I like the Amirbai version over Shamshad Beghum one. Amirbai has a unique vibrations to her voice. Great upload. Thank you very much, Pindiji.
