70,000tons of metal announced yesterday the confirmation of the pioneers of black/thrash metal Venom: "Injected With Deadly Toxin: Please Welcome Venom On Board! To travel from the North Sea into the Atlantic Ocean, they must sail around the British Isles. Before doing so they decided to visit a town in North East England that they are familiar with from last year: Newcastle, and what a welcome they got! On arrival they all got injected by a deadly toxin: Venom!"

Metallica released 3 news songs recently during their 30th anniversary shows in San Francisco they are called Hell and Back -- just a Bullet Away and Hate Train -- check them out all very cool songs. They have another show tonight Dec 10th so expect another new one.

Orange County, California's BLEEDING THROUGH will release its new album, "The Great Fire", on January 31, 2012.

According to QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's official Facebook page, the band is "deep into makin' [its] new album" for a tentative early 2012 release.

LACUNA COIL will guest on this weekend's edition of Full Metal Jackie's. The program will include the world premiere of a brand new LACUNA COIL song from the band's new album, "Dark Adrenaline"...so check that out.


This year's Metal Alliance Tour will kick off on March 15th and run through April 21st. And although the line-up has yet to be announced, we can confirm that it is Devildriver, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Job For A Cowboy, 3 Inches of Blood, and Impending Doom.


Warped Tour organizers have announced the first five bands for Warped Tour 2012.

Said bands are Bayside, Memphis May Fire, The Silver Comet, Chelsea Grin, and Sleeping With Sirens.

According to new listings on Ticketmaster.com, Tool have booked two shows for next month. Those dates include:
01/17 Tucson, AZ -- Tuscon Arena
01/18 Albuquerque, NM -- Tingley Coliseum
Details have been revealed for this years edition of the annual "Dimebash" show — which pays tribute to fallen Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. Abbott was of course gunned down onstage on this day, December 08th, seven years ago.
This years event will take place at The Key Club in West Hollywood, CA on December 14th with proceeds from the show going to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund".
Some artists set to jam together at this years event include:
Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine)
Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains)

Serj Tankian (System Of A Down)
Joey Jordison (Slipknot)
Scott Ian (Anthrax)

Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion)
Meanwhile, Dio Disciples and Kill Devil Hill will serve as openers at the show.
