Why Mom, Why? A Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 2

Joni: So, um, Shanna. What about a sleepover, in my room. You know the deal, movies, snacks. Girls night inside?
(We laughed at my lame joke, and she nodded.)
Shanna: Good idea. Eight? Your room?
Joni. Sounds good.
(After we finished eating, we cleaned the kitchen. After that was done we made ourselves ready for the sleepover. Soon it was eight, and I heard a knock on my door.)
Joni: Cmon in!
(The door opened, and there stood Juliet.)
Joni: And what do you want? A new bra?
Juliet: Hardy har har... No.
Joni: Then what?
Juliet: I wanna be at your sleepover.
Joni: NO!
(I knew she always got her way. She would cry fake tears, mom would get mad at us, and voila, she got her way, and we had to look at her obnoxious face the rest of the day. I suddenly raced to the door, and to my moms room. I was there first, and I knocked on the door. My mom opened the door, and looked at me confused.)
Mrs.S: Can I help you, Joni?
Joni: Yeah, mom. Juliet wants to join the sleepover, but I dont think that thats a good idea, seeing that shes sick...
(When I finished speaking Juliet finally joined. Already the fake tears on her face.)
Juliet: MOMMY!
Mrs.S: Juliet, no. You're not joining the sleepover.
(I did an inner fist pump again.)
Juliet: But, mommy, WHY?!
Mrs.S: Because your sick. And thats it. Now go to bed, you need to rest to get better.
Juliet: But mommy...
Mrs.S: No buts, go to bed.
Juliet: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
(She finally walked to her own bedroom.)
Joni: Thank you, mom. Don't wanna be sick when the boys come home.
(My mom smiled.)
Mrs.S: Have fun.
Joni: Thanks mom.
(We both smiled once more, and as I walked away, I heard my moms door close. When I reached my room, I let out an agravated sigh.)
Shanna: Whats up your ass?
(I didnt notice her before, she was sitting on my desk, her feet swaying in the air.)
Joni: Juliet.
Shanna: Oh, god. What did she want this time? Another bra?
(See? Were totally on the same wave-length.)
Joni: Thats exactly what I asked her, but no. She wanted to join our sleepover.
Shanna: WHAT THE HELL?! Did she get her way?
Joni: Luckily not. Mom said that if she was sick, she couldnt join us.
Shanna: Well, good.
(We were both already in our pyjamas.)
Shanna: I got the snacks!
Joni: Good.
(I was surprised to see how many she brought with her. Oreos, chips, ice-cream, cookies, popcorn, gummi-worms My eyes widened.)
Shanna: What?
Joni: It shocks me you can even sound surprised. Don't you know how many food you brought?!
Shanna: Who says its all for you?
Joni: Well, who says its all for YOU?
Shanna: I do.
Joni: Youre one weird girl...
Shanna: But you love me.
Joni: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Guess I do.
Shanna: So, Which movie are we gonna watch?
Joni: What about The Notebook?
Shanna: Alright! You studied!
Joni: Huh?
Shanna: How else did you know that was my favorite movie?
Joni: Only because everytime we watch this movie you say that. And by the way, its my favorite too, you know.
Shanna: Stop whining and put it in the dvd-player already!
(We laughed, and I put the dvd in. We layed down on my bed, and I put the covers over us. Shanna grabbed the ice-cream and two spoons as I pressed play. We ate and watched the movie. I was surprised to see that most of the snacks were already eaten. I must have fallen asleep, cause the next morning I woke up with the sunlight burning in my eyes. I could feel next to me that Shanna already left. Suddenly I heard singing. Wait a second... I shot up.)
