Buy these fine amps here... http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/guitar/amps-and-cabs/blackstar-ht-stage-60-guita...
The Blackstar Soloist 60 Guitar Combo Amplifier is an all valve 60 watt guitar amplifier with 2 foot-switchable channels, it deploys a single 60 watt Celestion 12 inch speaker. The Soloist has both clean and overdrive voice settings that can be switched from the inclusive 4 button footswitch, whilst the tone is further enhanced by the Patent-Applied for Infinite Shape Feature (ISF). The Soloist 60 has 2 x ECC83, 2 x EL34 valves to help produce that classic british rock sound ...

Additional control parameters include a Presence control to sweeten the high end frequencies, a digital reverb with dark/bright setting and a Master Volume control. There's also a speaker emulated output that has a 1 x 12 and a 4 x 12 cabinet voicing, an effects loop with an effects level switch and the aesthetics of the amplifier mean that the Soloist 60 has a cool, vintage styling finished in black with a speaker grille cloth and sports a white Blackstar logo. Check out this fabulous addition to the Blackstar range now at the Nevada Music Warehouse ...

Many thanks to our friend Mick for some fine playing allowing me to wiggle the knobs on camera !! xxx

Recorded with a Rode NT2A mic recorded flat with no post tweaking.

  • Nice Demo im gonna save up a little more cash to get this baby:D

  • @SonicGamer1991 Yep, definitely worth every penny......

  • Very good demo !

It's rare to see someone working at the amp while an other gitarrist is playing. The Best way to show !

    BRUO

  • @soaring138 Thanks, its a bit difficult doing it solo, glad you like it. These amps have such a wide variety of tones available them that you really need to see what happens when you turn all the controls and buttons. I must say the amp sounded great in the flesh, do I need another amp......hmmmmmmm, could I sneak it past the wife ...... probably... ;)

  • @Smallimages10 Awesome, just what I wanted to know!

Meh, we -have- an accoustic electric here, but that's just standing there in the corner. I don't like the sound of bronze strings (silk and steel are more to my liking) and since I'm not a very big guy, I have to really work my way around it.

I think I'm gonna get me a spanish guitar for accoustics, I love the way the nylon strings sound. Off course I'm no flamenco player, but hey, nobody's perfect.

  • @RJW14 I got the 1-12 soloist about 2 months ago, and yes you can get faithful sound at low volume. My practice room is the same size. I play in a cover classic rock band, and this is a versitile amp for getting various sounds. It did fall on it's face when I tried to play an acoustic-electric thru it. SO..I got the 12in ext. cabinet and cut a piece to fully enclose it. Now it's really great, and helps if you are trying to get some heavy distortion balls out of it also.. great amp!

  • So, as the soloist has a master volume, can I play it in a small 10x10ft room and still get the tone I want without needing hearing aids the rest of my life? The peavey 2x12 I got now has got a pre and post gain knob which I can use to tailor the volume down a bit (and get a nice clean.... crank those up and it gets loud, with the clean trading in for an overdrive type of sound)

  • Got this amp and its awesome. im playing a fender strat hss seinna. all i need is some fender scn pickups and im good.

  • Just got one of these for 700 bucks, best amp I've ever used/owned

  • Definately needed to do more on the overdrive for the Soloist, there was like 4 seconds of playing. As a metal player that's why I came for this :(

  • i love that we actually get to hear the tones being used by a skilled guitarist. that doesn't happen very often on youtube.

  • Best amp demo on youTube. Nice one.

  • I take it that the stage and the soloist basically have the same voicing seeing that only the soloist was played?
