Hey, gamers, Nightowljrm here with my second legitimate review ever and the first review I have ever worked considerably hard on. I feel like this one is much better than my first (the Castlevania one). The game in the spotlight today is Holy Diver, a Famicom exclusive based off Dio's song/album of the same name. It bares some similarities to Castlevania, Zelda II, and Mega Man, but remains totally unique and even more difficult. Enjoy the show! Like always, suggestions, ideas, tips, and critique are welcomed and even encouraged!

As always, some things to note...
• This was all recorded by me using a DVD player, edited with Camtasia, and also played by me without the use of hacks, cheats, or anything else against the spirit of the game.
• This game is very obscure and very rare, making it expensive. I've seen them go for $100 - $150 before.
• I DO NOT use emulators UNLESS I own the actual game. I used an emulator for three clips used in this video. The rest is off an actual NES console.
• Some words I say sound slurred or nasally... that's because I was recovering from a cold while recording and I only had one free day to record because I had a lot of church and school priorities first.
• I slowed down and sped up some clips so that a clip could prove a point, point something out, or do something else for the benefit of the review. They were nothing more than an edit to the footage.
• Footage of Thunder was unavailable because you attain it toward the end, and since I had already played through it many times and somehow didn't get a good clip... It's such a hard game and... I just couldn't handle any more.
• I noticed that my voice-over got better as the video went along, which I distinctly remember was when I decided to relax a bit. (I'm really shy, so this is a barrier for me). I'll try to sound more like that in later videos.

  • that song in the beginning of the video, is that from castlevania 2?

  • @PissedPlayinPimp : R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio. \,,/ One of the best classic heavy metal songs ever.

(Thanks for the comment. I both love and hate this video, it was recorded when I had a cold, but I worked hard on the video itself and the game is just amazing and obscure... and hard as hell).

  • I miss playing this game with you, babe... <3

  • @TheAbsintheReviewNet I don't think it's on VC.

  • Awesome review dude :D

  • You farted in Henry Beanboy's mouth!

  • Wow! I love these reviews! I can tell your enjoying them, which is good. Also, I can tell you put a TON of work into em. Keep going :D.

  • Wow, never knew about a game that was based on those rock stars that I love (living or dead). I used to have a NES but found the games too frustrating most of the time. Still, fun, and good review!
