  • Its industrial agriculture .Heavily sprayed, assembly line production, shipped thousands of miles. This is not farming!! Its commidity based factory food.Buy pesticide free local produce.

  • I just want to be clear that they are spraying water on the product to keep it fresh. And yes this food goes out to the entire country ASAP. For some, buying local produce is not an option. This is a killer- back breaking job, that most Americans are not willing to do no matter what the pay.

  • What is it that is being sprayed on to the lettuce butts before packing?

  • They spray water on the butts to clean them. when they cut the plant the cytoplasm leaks from the plant cells and will turn it brown, So they rinse it.

  • this would not be aback breaking job no more because Taylor Farms released its new machine.Using high-pressure water jets to cut lettuce leaves,

Ramsay Highlander’s stainless steel lettuce harvester is being

used by a few large leafy greens growers in

    California’s Salinas Valley.

  • this would not be aback breaking job no more because taylor released its new machine. it cuts te lettuce with pressure water!!!!! fancy

  • @Trinky1 Agreeed. Thank you. Very well answered.

  • @tcmax4life Then people will be hungry. Going on strike is not going to solve anything.........
