Hangzhou, China: A Walk Around West ("Xi Hu") Lake

There are combined walking/bicycle paths around the entire lake but you also have to share with golf carts and pedi-cabs transporting tourists. Take a boat ride or paddle one yourself.

Old villas from the '20's and '30's, trails leading up the mountains, Tao compounds, Pagodas...no wonder Marco Polo dallied here...

Me and my wife were there summer 2007 and we live there for three month. we had a such great time. we are going back to china sometime this year for like 15 days this time will be QingDao, china. we'll see how that goes.
