I'd like to balance between the two.

Yeah, I'd avoid them, if I were you. The music sounds so much richer when the full chords come in...

I use fifths a lot, since the guitar music I've learned to write from uses fifths regularly. They can they sound rather drab at times. I guess guitarists use many chords containing fifths because of the way the instrument is structured.

Nice, but I don't know why you used 5th chords so much... they're exceptionally boring! Otherwise, good...

I'll get to it eventually. Circumstances, if you will, have kept me from my piano of late.

wow it is so interesting. I am really slow in reading, but is there a way you could send me this score so i can have a try on the guitar. It ll be some challenge to find the notes with this tuning but i would like give it a try!

Yes, I'll send it to you. You don;t have to play all the notes, though. I think this piece would be pretty hard to play on one guitar. The melody in itself would be enough, anyway.

I have to admit some lack of knowledge of music theory, so the discussion of fiths and so on goes a bit over my head. That it might be considered "boring" in some context, in this case, I do not find that a totally valid complaint. I find this piece soothing. A "richer" sound might add a complexity that would be challenging in that context. I look for music to set a mood. This sets the sort of mood I wish to achieve as I wind down a hectic day.

Yes, this is one of my favourites, too. there is much meaning in it to me. My internal dialogue expressed tonically, if you will.
