Illinois PIRG tested toys for lead, phthalates and other chemicals. The results, highlighted in a new report titled, "Chemical Compliance: Testing for Toxics in Childrens Products," found several childrens products exceeding current safety standards and products containing toxic phthalates recently banned by the new federal product safety law.
Very interesting labor!!. In the last years there have been different cases of intoxication in kids caused by chemical substances contained in toys (for example in plastics, or in the paint used, etc). Its important that parents check if the toys they are buying have all the regulations and certifications that approve them as safe toys.
