They Fixed It! 感謝、感謝!謝謝!

The full story:

Test: Moving Picture-in-Picture, first attempt at toying about with PiP motion path editing in PD6.

Fat Fat FatなExperiment, a PiP video made with PD7 that could have been better if the motion editor had worked properly.

Power Director 7 Is Annoying, first video where I realized that this was a new problem in PD7.

"Please return the functionality of PD6 to PD7", in Japanese.

"This happens even if you create a new project in PD7", in Japanese, after a response from Japanese tech support saying it was a problem that happened if you edited a PD6 project in PD7.

Cyberlink broke the PiP motion editor in Power Director 7, in English since I don't know Mandarin Chinese or Taiwanese. In retrospect I should have gone to the 新台北 restaurant down the street and asked for help.

Awesomely gloriously beautiful sound, especially when seen live. My camera doesn't do them justice yet. They went to school to perfect their craft, and this band is the result. And they haven't even been formed for a year yet. Looking forward to even more good sounds in the future.

The guitar player Chikabo also plays one of the guitars for VAV, the one that also "played" in Kintama Girls:

  • i was wondering if this happens with you on power director 7 does your video go off sync when previewibg it because it happens to me

  • I'll be honest, I haven't pursued sync issues because of early bad experiences with trying to clip out dead space. It wasn't the biggest problem I was facing and I found ways to avoid it.

But that might be different from what you've seen.

See my comments under a video titled "CyberLink PowerDirector 7 PiP Effects" by XOHJputty45. Check what build version you're using, upgrade if necessary. I vaguely remember seeing notes next to one of the patch releases about sound sync. Not sure though.

  • Hey man, I just picked up a copy of PowerDirector Ultra v7 myself tonight - I'm still happy with VideoStudio 12 overall (and apparently it is still the least frustrating software around for editing HD) but it has a few things that bug me, that I want to see if this handles any better. Nice to know that this is one thing I can try out with it!

    Peace

  • Heya! Let me know how it works out. I am curious.

  • Do I have to download latest update to fix the pip problem? Or what?

  • To fix the specific problem I encountered, yes you need the update.

Even if you're having an entirely different problem, in general it helps if you use the most recent patch release. Reduces the list of possible suspect bugs.

  • That was great. But one problem is unsolved. So I'm gonna solve it. Burning MiniDVDs Video.

Anyway thnx again for fixing it :D

    PIP problem = solved!

  • Not really, no, sorry. Most of what I've been trying to do with PiP has been with videos inside of videos. Googling around it looks like .cpt is a static image file format. "Corel Photo Paint" according to Wikipedia. The old Jasc Panit Shop Pro 9 I still use doesn't seem to list it as a supported extension, so it could be a recent invention.

Check around Corel's homepage and look for something that supports it is my best guess.

    HTH.

  • Hey ElevenColors Im just starting with PowerDirector and I have questions to u, How Can I make/edit PIP effect? Its .cpt I tried to open it with Corel but it shows errors :/ Could u help me?

  • Awesome. We need to get more people using bizarre special effects in their videos.
