Hi!

I searched for some months the right flanger for my needs. I tried the Line 6 Liqua Flange (too complex), the Boss BF2 and the Ibanez FL9. The sound was good but I didn't like the metallic noise coming from them.

I gave a chance to this Arion (known for the great chorus SCH-1) and it seems to be exactly what I was looking for! No metallic sound, no volume drop (the reason I didn't go for an Eletric Mistress + the place it takes), beautiful sound at low rate settings but also fast rate ones.

It's a pity that it's made of plastic but perfection is not of this world ;) and for the price... Enjoy!

  • You mentioned no volume drop, but what about a boost? Mine has a very apparent boost when engaged

  • @ericryanmcgehee maybe a little boost on mine you're right.

  • Unlike other flanger pedals, this one seems to have a bit of wah in it. Can you turn down that effect?

  • Hum probably, I'm not really sure about this "wah" effect...

  • Lucky bugger. I have been searching in for a flanger just like this. The inverted signal or drainpipe effect. Tom Morello had one just like this(except he had the old ibanez dfl flanger) .

  • You can find one really easily on Ebay Japan for a really cheap price ;)

I tried many flangers but this is my favourite one!

  • @spleenarcana yes im agree with you it is unique for this im buing it. im a chorus lover i have many ibanez cs9 1 edition, ibanez sc10, yamaha ch mkII, ibanez cll, boss ce3 "and other in my rack as mxr etc".

  • @At0mmic hi. im pretty sure. this flanger is UNIQUE "what rare for a plastic economic pedal". yes it has a "wah" as you say. for this im buing it "old version is violet color not blue".

if you use it before/after a wah wah, or with a "random step filter" you can have amazing sounds.

  • they sell one of these at my music store. i might buy it

  • maybe sounds similar to wah,but it's actually depth pot turned all way up :)

  • One of my favorite flangers. Very warm and organic. I constantly find myself alternating between this and my Ibanez SF10.

    A steal for the money.

  • The coolest flanger Ive heard so far, this vid made me buy one:)

  • Sounds much better after the overdrive/distortion pedal. It Flanges the distorted sound which is clearer than distorting a flanged sound. I have one of these and am about to sell it on ebay so had 24 years of bulletproof service and far more scope on the pots than any other flanger I've tried.

  • Does this sound better before or after overdrive/distortions?
