REPORT: The European sun is at its strongest in the Portuguese town of Amareleja, where a huge solar panel system supplies 30,000 households with electricity. The country aims to produce 60% of renewable energy by 2020.

  • To the comments below, the sun appears to move across the sky, east to west, because the Earth is spinning west to east.

  • @justonemorename Obviously it doesn't move. But from a perspective of someone on earth, it moves across the sky.

  • Where I live the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and it gets higher overhead in the summer.

    Other than that, I agree, it doesn't move :-)
