New World Trade Center - Freedom Tower Time lapse

1 World Trade Center, also known by its nickname and former name Freedom Tower, is the main building of the new World Trade Center under construction in Lower Manhattan in New York City, USA.The tower will be located in the northwest corner of the 16-acre (65,000 m²) World Trade Center site, bound by Vesey, West, Washington and Fulton streets. Construction on below-ground utility relocations, footings, and foundations for the 1,776-foot (541 m) building began on April 27, 2006.

@memorysticky apparently the new building will be one of the strongest skyscrapers ever built. most skyscrapers only hape a main support system around the outside of the towers (like the old one) and this one will have that and and inside square concrete support going all the way to the top and also steel rods that usually go into concrete are about the with of your thumb but the ones they are usin this time are like the width of your arm so the building is nearly indestructable

@SLAM234 you know, noone knew that some stupid terrorists were about to destroy WTC so they had to start planning the new WTC site AFTER 11 september, and YES it takes 10 years to plan a 500 meters tower and built 200 meters of it.
