I'm not sure! I was just indicating, one: the description of the tomb. two: that it's dangerous BECAUSE of the mercury! But it also supposedly has a tremendous amount of jewels, etc., within. I'm not sure what you were/are reacting to?

The Chinese have resisted opening the tomb for years since it's the 1st. emperors tomb as well as the fact that it's so full of deadly mercury. Recent tests indicate massive amounts of mercury in the surrounding soil.

That tomb contains according to legend a LAKE of mercury, I'd call that bad luck.

I'm afraid that the real "need" is for glory and the accolades of 'discovery'...IE jewels, gold, research grants, etc.!

I'm curious as to how they're going to eventually open the first emperor's tomb in China. The Chinese are quite superstitious. That tomb carries a great deal of meaning for them...plus it's dangerous!

The surrounding soil contains massive amounts of mercury - which the ancient 'scripts' indicated would be there.

But it also contains much weath...hm-m-m-m.
