Longtime hawks fan here,but this kid was real deal,more i watched him fight, more i liked his style,..cpl things he had that most hockey fighters don't, & that's flat out fearlessness, great hands in boxing skills,..and could throw either way with great balance. Small yes,..but as we see,..he could beat most,..and hang with just about anyone. Too bad he wasnt much offensively. Canucks couldda used him against boston, egde her to Mayers til he lost his balance tho.

Rest in Peace Ripper, you were the pound 4 pound best fighter in the league and 1 of my favourite players because of your intesity n willingness to throw with anyone anytime even if you fought once before in the same game. Thanks for the years of war you put in with Manitoba and Vancouver.

@brutallyunbiased im not saying this cause he passed away but clearly rick won....lands solid ones at the beggining, the jamal and rick start swinging both arms, not really connecting, then jamal goes down and rick gets a few good ones
