A video showing the progress of the redevelpment and regeneration work being carried out at Kings Cross Railway Station and the surrounding area.

Photographs and video taken by me in 2009 and on September 15th 2011 of the various aspects of the work taking place on the 67 acre site.

Kings Cross Railway station should be complete in 2012 ready for the Olympic Games

  • @m0dernrailways - Not sure really if the rings will be a permanent feature or not but I hope they are.

Thanks for the comments, and I hoping to do another in the Spring of 2012 before the station work is complete. Thanks for your comments Jason, much appreciated.

  • Amazing, lovely ending! Also, do you know if the Olympic rings will be taken down from St. Pancras at any time after the Olympics, or will they be kept as sign to remember London 2012? Thanks for the video, Youtube has been playing up with the sub box lately and so a lot of videos are only just coming through. The quality is outstanding nice to see some contrasts between 2009 and now too :)

  • @GRANDCENTRAL43067 - Thanks very much for your comment. I'll be doing another video at KX early 2012 when the covers and hoardings start to disappear and it's more near completion.

  • Very Good, Love the end very fitting

  • @bobnweaver Thanks very much Jeff.

Yes, I remember now that you were quite a regular at The Great Northern in the past. The whole area around the North of the station is undergoing amazing transformation. I'll be doing another video in the spring.

  • Superb video Allan. What a trasformation taking place there. I loved your then and now clips. Great to see the Great Northern Hotel is getting some work done on it. An old haunt of mine from Euro 96. Cheers, Jeff.
