  • If you dont mind me asking, what kind of Resistor did you use for this Job, Thank you.

  • What kind? Well, there's more than one resistor. The ohm/wattage rating depends on the specs of your LEDs; it's not the same for every console. Take a look at resistorcalc . sickmods . net to find out which resistors to use.

  • whare do you get the power for the LEDs and whare did you get a clear case

  • I powered the LEDs from the 5Vstb source coming from the power supply unit.

The clear case is because this is a limited edition crystal Xbox from MS. You can also buy 3rd party crystal cases from XCM.

  • That is fucking awesome. You sir a professional 10/10. That xbox is a beast. Do you have a tutorial on how to make the lights flash with the song ?

    Thanks Max

  • Click the link in the description and you'll find the tutorial on how to do this to your own Xbox or other console.

  • I'm entranced....

  • nice¡¡¡¡¡

  • Soft modding is fairly simple and easy thing to do, it has some costs but doesn't brick if it's done correctly. I've messed up and bricked mine.

I want a Crystal Xbox, so I gonna get one.

Black Xbox combines perfectly with a TV, but Crystal Xbox looks way cooler than the black edition.

btw, does the Xbox have free region function of DVDs?

  • I understand that you already wasted a console and you don't want to try another experiment of the kind... I also remember feeling SO BAD when I ripped off the touchscreen connector of my DS... and yes you are right, you can get good xbox games for a lot less nowadays.

I never played any Modern Warfare games but it has got so popular that yeah, I would recommend seeing what it is really worth by playing the predecessors. Black was impressive at first sight but nothing extradinary fun to play.

  • You hack a console in order to unlock functions or to be able to cheat in your own way. As long as your new type of console keep of it's original functionnalities (you could loose xbox live with a modchipped xbox that had a new hard drive), I don't see why someone would choose a legit over a hacked console that can do more.

  • I broke my Nintendo DSi while doing it (case replacement, it required a full disassembly), it was the first time I was trying to do such a thing, I failed miserably and it ended up in me loosing all the gained modifications (I gave them my DS and they gave me a new black one) and paying 100 dollars in exchange.

  • @devouringone3 An Xbox original hacked, it's magnificent.

You can put whatever you want, tons and tons of games, movies.. It's a computer after all.

I softmodded my Crystal Xbox and bricked it, but now it's not really worth it, games for Xbox are cheap and I can watch from my LCD monitor perfectly.

Could you recommend a game like Modern Warfare 2, for Xbox? Is Black like MW2?

I'm going for Doom 3 never played the full game, only demo on Xbox.

I don't like to hack consoles any more.

  • Oh, for real?

3 months ago you talked about a "superb media center" which the unmodified original xbox isn't really... it will play your music if you can feed it with CDs.

Modifying a console is kind of scary, I also have to agree with that.

  • Wow, that sounds like awesome.

But I prefer my consoles not modified, just with the original system.

  • 5 original games is a good deal, even though it won't matter much :( if you have or will have a modchip installed in your console.

My xbox came with about 112 burnt games inside 112 DVD boxes with the proper printed covers... what a bookshelf full of games.

It was a pretty nice pack, I also had the remote control, a Williams F1 steering wheel controller, 4 controller-S with two crystals blue-LEDed ones (to fit with the blue LEDs of the Xbox).

Mint condition, best purchase I ever made, lol.
