Niokkota the Thracians were not Greeks, i do not claim that they were Greeks. Sadly they do not exist anymore. The Greeks conquered, colonized and Hellenized the area of Fyrom-Bulgaria south of the Haimos, European Turkey and north western Turkey. The Thracian tribes and the Italians became Greeks. The Thracians north of the Haemos, Dobruja and Nis became Slavs. Very recently however Fyrom and South Bulgaria were Slavified the rest of Thrace was Turkified and the Greeks expelled.

@MrAugustus88 FIRST OF ALL BULGARIANS ARE NOT SLAVS !!! AND SECONDLY YOU HAVE TO LEARN HISTORY ! GREEKS ARE NOT THE LOCAL POPULATION IN PELAZGIA / THRACE ! FILIP 2 OF MACEDON EXPELLED AND DISPLACED THE LOCAL THRACIAN POPULATION IN PLOVDIV AND IN THE AREA AROUND IT AND SETTLED GREEK COLONIZERS IN THEIR PLACE IN THE 3-4 TH CENTURY B.C. ! CONCERNING THE THRACIANS, YOU MAY CHECK WITH THE SWISS COMPANY IGENEA AND YOU WILL SEE HOW MANY OF MODERN BULGARIANS CARRY THRACIAN GENES !!! GIASOU !

You are right it wasn't correct to change the names of the Turks in Bulgaria but that was nothing compared to what the Ottomans did to us. Ne vi obichame mnogo i vie
