We had our "Fat Boy" for about 16 years - this is a tribute to our love for & our life with him. He passed on 19 Oct 2006 after many bouts of Renal failure.

I made the video, originally, for my son (who is 18 now) - thinking that the tribute to his "best animal friend" would help him through the loss. He won't even watch it - says it's just too much.

Real men DO cry - never saw my son cry like that before. Letting go & saying good-bye was terribly difficult for him... guess he doesn't want the reminders...

Fat Boy was a true animal friend & companion & is missed.

  • what song is this and who is it bye

  • @friends222 —> It’s Lionel Richie & I think the song is called “Goodbye”.

    Peace & Blessings

Oh, I just looked up by the video & it shows how you can purchase “GOODBYE” on iTunes or Amazon!

  • oh this made me cry, I have three cats and the oldest one is my best freind. He always sleeps at the foot of my bed, and always comforts me when I'm sad. He's sleeping onn his fave pillow right now. The vet said he only has a few more years left before he dies of old age.

  • Our Fatty lived 5 or 6 years past the point the vet said he would make it - fully & healthfully too! Just cherish each moment knowing it may or may not be the last you have... death is merely a natural extension of life - those we love carry on within us forever... feline, canine, or human!

    cheers! aisha

  • Sadly, on Sunday 11 May 2008, Baby Gurl (the Siamese in one or more of these photos), who was 17 or 18 years old, died suddenly in her sleep while we were away from her & she was staying w/ a friend.

No better words than those of this song to describe how it feels. I can fairly safely say that this is the end of the line of "pets" I bring into my life. It's been a long journey & this has been enough.

Get your pet spayed or neutered & love them well - whilst you can!!!

  • Through Christ there are no good byes just see you laters, take this as a comfort and follow God in all you do and some very special day he will lead you back to your kitty to live with for eternity!

  • these sad videos make me not want a cat i love cats more than any thing but to think of the last day with my cat (if i get 1) would be too sad sorry 4 ur loss :(........

  • I'm sorry for your families loss, it doesn't matter the age of the kitty it's still such a sad thing to happen. Your son seems to really love the kitty and it's hard to see our kids get upset as much as we do as parents . Sometimes we're the ones who have to show a brave face, I'm not one of them. :< Animals teach us all how precious life is and it should be respected as such, weather it's an animal or human .

  • @lamphoenixrising, how cute the tribute to your cat Fat Boy, he seemed like

a pal and a friend. I lost my Min Pin dog Bowser in May 2009 to cancer, Since

that time I have a new 1 yr old Puppy named Peanut and she has filled my

life with happiness, No other dog could ever replace my Min Pin but i love her

    just the same.

  • This video reminds me of my cat, he turned 16 years old this year. I feel in my heart he may not live another 3 years. He's been there threw my divorce and the death of my Dad. Harley my cat has always been my true sweet friend. I hope the grief has pasted by this date 4/18/11 for your family ? R.I.P Little kitty go to the rainbow.

  • What a touching video....
