  • Ahhh Brad.... Wow I used to always come to see you The Toll at the Decade in Pittsburgh. This was stellar-what are Brad and the Toll up to now?

  • @jazzgirlrules They played a reunion/fundraiser show last year that is now out on DVD if you search for Andyman-a-thon or thisonesforandy you can find it. First time together in twenty some odd years. Brad is a marketing and communication wiz in Columbus, OH.

  • yea this is awesome thats my name....

  • Tell me you live in New Mexico. ;-)

  • At Rick's American Cafe in E. Lansing, MI in the early 80's I saw The Toll for the second time. The bar was half full and no one new who they were except for a few of us. Half way through their 3 1/2 hour set, a packed house was fully aware that this was one of the best live shows that they had ever seen. It was electric. The best live band that I have ever seen, bar none!

  • the tube is quite extraordinary.......i cut this piece.......imagine my surprise when i stumbled across it.......thanks for posting

  • Spellbinding

  • oh my goddess! i was a student at Central Michigan U in the mid 80s and saw the Toll many times at the Foolery, which last i knew was not called that anymore. very interesting band...the lead singer Brad, would walk across people's tables while singing, dangle himself upside down from the rafters, and so on. Good times, good times!!!!!

  • my band got to do five shows back in '89 with them, they had incredible energy onstage. We played in the mid-west in small cities where no-one showed up, we played to only 40-60 people a night and they played like it was the Garden. I still listen to this cd every now and them. Great band.

  • Hometown favorites - The toll had something really special going on - whatever happenend to those guys. Thanks for posting this.

  • @drzucke They used to come to Mt. Pleasant, MI to what used to be "The Foolery" in downtown Mt. P, too. We saw them several times. Went right out & got the cassette (LOL) & proceeded to wear it out! Flipped out the first time I saw them on MTV. They always put on a great show! Great memories!

  • the singer really had something unique in this narrative approach.saw them in cambridge,ma.he climbed atop the pa speakers claiming it as his ''treefort''.he was so wide eyed and full of wonder,it got to me.i still view it as one of my ''great moments in rock''.the guy should make american history music for kids.

  • I remember seeing this band in the basement of Rick's in E. Lansing and it was one of the most energetic moments of my life!
