  • what is the program u used in the start of the movie?? please tell me!

  • @mecke96 It's called AutoCAD

  • Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful job. A long while back I worked on the only two examples of this airplane that flew and are now languishing in museums. There is one difference I can see from the actual airplane (inconsequential, though, to this scale) and that is the inlets. They don't simply end on a squared angle out of line with the leading edge. The inlets include six independent angles which align precisely with corresponding edges on the airplane. This was done for low RCS issues.

  • Thanks for the comments. I worked on this program in the wind tunnel model shop at Northrop (Hawthorne) ... so I had to be careful not to include any specific details that I know about that may not be public. While at Northrop I worked on and tested several other alternate inlet designs as well but I am not at liberty to discuss them. This model is based 100% on a 1/72nd scale plastic model, not on any of my own knowledge of the actual design.

Facebook: search Yf-23 Black Widow II Stealth Fighter Doc

  • @AllenRockwell thanks=)

  • airwolf at 2:39?

  • @kirbyroxy I don't believe that. There's no evidence that the YF-23 would've cost more. That's just a bullshit. In reality, bureaucracy and corruption were responsible for the F-22's selection over the YF-23. And the F-22 was the weaker design.

  • @StiviGun1 the cost

  • @kirkmach32 What can you tell about the YF-23's performances? Like what was its climbing rate, its turning rate, what AoA could it achieve? Could it perform the Cobra maneuver? You know, stuff like that. 'Cause I really wanna understand why it was rejected in the favor of the F-22.

  • Amazing!!!

The YF-23 is probably my favorite aircraft, it's a shame it got cancelled though.

    Nice work.
