I'm happy so many people can relate. i think it's really sad that some black people think i speak white because i speak STANDARD English. I'm happy that i grew up speaking English rather than ebonics because it is so sad to hear some black people speak. As soon as they open their mouth to speak the confusion begins. im really sorry if i offend anyone,but it is the true.like michelle said, growing up i didn't even know what they meant when they said i sounded white. i thought i spoke normal.

As a matter of fact, I think that this woman is polite, sincere, nice and she is really concerned about the responsabilities that might be on her shoulders right now for being the first lady of the U.S. Now a days not too many politicians take the time to speak knowledge to young audiences since they prefer to spend their time in luxury meetings, places and stuff like that.

it's just an ignorant figure of speech which Michelle pointed out as such, she could not understand what it meant either. kids were just trying to to make her feel bad because she expressed herself in such a way that it made them feel threatened and insecure.
