Overtaking on continuous white line 2

An idiot in a Renault Megane decides to overtake a tractor and trailer on a continuous white line on a bend and has a rather close call with a 4 X 4 coming the opposite way.

Also, if he could have done it a bit slower, he might have even bagged a good crash with the 4X4 that was coming around the blind bend.

A bit of patience and he could have easily waited a few seconds more after the top of the hill where the road levels and straightens out and he could have done it in a lot safer place, even if it had to be over a solid white line.

@mickdeerc46 No he was not. You cannot overtake on a continuous white line, EVER! To make it worse it was at the brow of a hill!

I can see that about the roads there in Ireland. Although I am of Irish decent, County Cork and others from Kilkenny I think, I have never been there. I plan to come over in a few years and drive around. Hey, ready for Wednesday? I have cold ones in stock.

exactly. its more out of frustration that these things happen. Getting stuck behind something like this for ages on a crappy bendy road like that. As much as there are loads of crap drivers. The roads here in are Ireland are shocking! Decent roads contribute a lot to safety too

Good video capture. I guess I'll say I probably would have done the same thing. Most people do with large, slow moving vehicles.
