The Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew Mysteries was an ABC prime time series starring Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy that first aired on Sunday, January 30, 1977. The Hardy Boys alternated with Nancy Drew, and once every fifth week in January and February 1977 with The Brady Bunch Hour. In the second season, the Hardys were joined by Nancy Drew (played by Pamela Sue Martin and, later, Janet Louise Johnson) for some episodes. Nancy was dropped altogether in the fall of 1978. The show went for three seasons with forty-six episodes, including 28 Hardy Boys episodes, 10 Nancy Drew only episodes, and 8 Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew cross-over episodes; the show went off the air in January 1979.
Most of the Hardys' friends never made regular appearances in the show, although Chet Morton did show up twice in the first season, while Callie Shaw was featured as Fenton's part-time office assistant.

i remember this like it was yesterday (i'm 40) i grew up reading the hardy boys as a kidm for me it was this and battlestar galactica

There is a channel called Retro TV, and I had caught a couple of episodes that I have not seen in years. The Hardy Boys were my favorite show.

UUgh...I had a girlfriend at the time...I was 13...she must have had every inch of her bedroom wall posted with Shaun Cassidy pictures. It was annoying.

This was great stuff! They can't make TV like this today... Now all we have is fake reality crap, anything controversial to get ratings.. gone are good simple stories and respectable television...

I love this theme music now and listen to it on here and on a tv theme cd I have all the time! But when I was 7 or 8 years old I remember this music and the dark creepy intro used to scare the crap out of me!! Esp. since it was on Sundays at 7PM ET and it was dark out.
