You could have killed him quite a few turns earlier by throwing Fiery Hellhound at him with the Stone Giant, but knowing he plays Fog, it's probably still right for you to play for the long game, even though he had multiple Overruns.
If you hadn't seen the Fog prior, I would have likely advocated getting greedy with him on 8, going for a lethal Hellhound toss that turn.
I agree that more agressive play would have been good. Anyone with double overrun can pull a win out of nowhere. You don;t want that.

Also could have just swung with the giant, and if he tried to double, seismic the non-shroud.
