  • @lhex234 4x4 and a 4.0 were optional choices on the single cab throughout the 90s. It wasnt til the 00's that they decided that the extended cabs would come optional with 4x4 and a 4.0 and the single cabs only came in 2wd with a 2.3 or a 3.0

  • @lhex234 No I had a 1994 ranger that was a 2.9l v6 it was ext cab. I had like a 6in lift with 35in tires NO balls what so ever it would run 62 mph full throttler. And would run hot if I ran it 62 for like 5mins. It was a piece of shit.

  • Ill never have anyhting but the 4.0 in my Ranger. My manager has an 83 with a 2.3 4 speed, my co worker has a 93 with a 3.0 autoshit, and i got a 92 4.0 5 speed baby! RANGERS RULE!

  • @RumXnXCoke23 I was jst mearly asking to clarify. Never said anyone was wrong. Thats just what I had been told.

  • @lhex234 the 4.0L has the same drive train as the 3.0L and the 2.3L........ all (after 92) have the mazda M50DR1 transmission and BW1356( if i remember correct) so im not trying 2 b an ass but your just flat out wrong the 4.0L has been an option in all rangers after 88 i believe... with some jap trans behind it i think, b4 that the largest motor was the 2.9L V6 140hp stock i believe
