EASTER --- IS IT SCRIPTURAL?

Correction: Passover in 2009 or Pesach in 2009 will commence either just after sunset or just after nightfall on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, depending on the authoritative rabbinical opinion one follows. Nightfall is defined in Jewish law as being "the end of sunset", and occurs anytime from 20 minutes to 1 hour after sunset, depending on one's geographic latitude and where one is located. I'm sorry for any confusion I might have caused.

Easter is a pagan observance of the dawn-goddess, the spring-deity, the goddess of fertility. Easter had a pre-Christian origin, namely a festival in honour of Eostre, the Teutonic dawn-goddess, also known as Eos, the Greek dawn-goddess, and as Usha or Ushas, the HIndu dawn-goddess

The case for the yearly Easter Sun-day was held in common with the case for the weekly Sun-day. Origen wrote, "The resurrection of the Master is celebrated not only once a year but constantly every eight days." Eusebius also stated, "While the Jews, faithful to Moses, sacrifice the Passover lamb once a year...We men of the New Covenant celebrate our Passover every Sunday.: Pope Innocent wrote, "We celebrate Sunday because of the Venerable (Sun-god Helios, Sol Invictus) resurrection...not only at Easter...but every Sunday."

Rather let us Qahal (called out ones) commemorate our Saviour's Memorial Passover and the subsequent events according to the Scriptural calendar, starting on the evening of 14 Abib, this month. Let us repent of, and eliminate the pagan Easter festival.

As I read fervently and intently, I became frustrated with the speed of the text as it was disappearing too fast for me to complete. So, I scrolled back a couple of times to see what I had missed. Then I read your commmentary on the side bar where you requested a break for not being a professional presenter.
