This is part 1/2 of a discussion on the nature of consciousness.

It's purpose is to incite thought, discussion and debate. I am not making a firm stand on the nature of consciousness, but rather tossing around ideas of the it's fundamentals. So please, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  • Imagine this; You were created as is, on an assembly line and finished 2 hours before you woke up this morning. Like a computer, you were programed with all the memories you think you have then placed gently in your bed. You awake to the world thinking you have lived your entire life, yet today is the 1st day of your existence. That should keep you all busy for awhile! LOL

  • If there was no external evidence that my memories were fabricated, I would have no way of ever knowing the truth! Scary.

  • Excellent video!

  • Thanks!

  • How can you claim our brain is like any other machin? you dum fuck, have you ever seen a machin who claim what you just claim? and stop painting the brain like machin, the brain Is the only thing that makes life to exist and be real, and give to It consciousness, awareness, Even God and the devil exist only because the brain allows it ! The brain Is the most mystyries thing eve! the day you relize what is the brain and how it work, you are a God !

  • this crackers stupid! fucking stupid honkeys

  • you guys sound like mindless robots!

  • @raistlin072 AAAHHHHH!!!! YOU SUCK!!!! Now my mind is on overdrive.. -.-

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN I'm sorry for being so careless in my tentative explanation. I was only talking of physical evidence in the form of specific neural pathways when and only when the memory is retrieved. There are very specific chemical compounds at work in very specific areas of the nervous system. That is what I meant. Does that make more sense? The subjective part is what we make of it when we try to explain how it feels.

  • @zabelicious

If you think memories are made of physical mater please tell the world what elements they are made of and where can I find the evidence to back up this? The fact that you refer to memory as "subjective memory" refutes a claim of memory being made of mater, mater can not be subjective...

Such things as thoughts, dreams and memories do reside and travel down networks of neural connections but are not made from or of the network itself and no researcher has claimed otherwise.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN Yes they are, just ask any trauma victim! They are stored in the body as a network of neural connections, frequently being re-triggered at the slightest hint of similarities of the subjctive memory of the traumatic events. Search for EMDR therapy modality to explain this to you.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN There is no sense in talking to someone who has their head so far up their own ass that they cannot even formulate a coherent argument without it being logically fallacious and scientifically false.

  • @WILLTHEWGMAN Fool, I am not referring to memories being neurons, I am stating that memories arise through physical processes in the brain. Generally, the process of remembering is not located in one specific part of the brain, but is a brain-wide process. You refuse to answer any of the questions I asked in all of these posts, because you cannot. So, instead you attack one specific part without regarding the rest of my arguments.

  • @xXubermimXx

Memories, thoughts and dreams are in fact NOT Physical, there is no debate about this. If you still think they are please tell the world what elements they are made of, I am sure others would like to know this... Scientifically "you" make no sense.
