Now the sound has been improved with a new Cobra phono cartridge and the malfunctioning lift arm was repaired by slightly bending in the guide tips at the end of it. I still need to repair the lighting circuits and clean the controls but the mechanism is working well.

  • Chad, is your Cobra cartridge red or green? The red's are usually 3 mil and the green's are 1 mil. They also made a compromise 2 mil which was a red/green body.

  • @AstroSonic1967 The old one was red...we had some new ones in the shop which was red/green. Thanks for this information, I did not know the red cartridges were really meant for 78's.
