My Taylor 414CE LTD, spring 2010.

The guitar was originally strung with Elixer lights and I strung the guitar with Cleartone lights, just to see what sound I would get.

The sound is a little more 'brassy' to my ears but I like the sound.

The recorded sound of the guitar picked is a little 'boomy' on the lower end. This is due to the 1 inch large diaphragm condenser mike that I used.

I like the ability of a 1" condenser mike to capture the wider range of the sound but the price paid is a bit of a boomy low end when finger picked.

The actual live sound of the lower strings is clear as a bell.

Hello, thanks for the comments. I got the guitar as part of a trade deal. I'm not sure exactly what I have into it price wise. I'm guessing you can get one for under $2,000 American.

it means Limited. Taylor has a LTD line where they offer different woods than what they normally offer.

Unfortunately mine isn't for sale. Have you checked out buying one? I've got to say of the 8 Taylor guitars I've owned and all have been upper level, this is the best by far. :)
