Three part autobiographical documentary featuring a spiritual journey to Southern California's magical Anza-Borrego Desert. Sacred images combined with the vast desert landscape and stunning close encounters with elusive, endangered Bighorn Sheep.
Part I: Departure
This is the beginning of the Spirit Quest, a montage of photos of the desert landscape combined with iconic images from many cultures including Native American photos, Buddhist deities, and assorted photos of children I worked with as an English teacher who have ethnic links to various Native American cultures. Music: "Cry to the Mountains" by Deirdre Ni Chinneide.
Part II: Heart of Borrego Documentary
This is a narrated journey through one of Anza-Borrego's many unique and vast canyons, combined with a brief history of the area, and stunning, close-up footage of encounters with endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep. Music: "Quiaquenita" by Canto Andino.
Part III: Wholeness
Dreamy sequences of the landscape combined with autobiographical footage and ethereal visions. Includes Dedication and Closing Credits. Music: "Because" by The Beatles.
Special blessings to all the children who appear in this video that I had the pleasure of working with.
Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
