Gameplay was rubbish? Come on dude. The gameplay of Far Cry 2 is 10x better than it ever will be in Far Cry 3. Far Cry 3 puts you in a giant Nanosuit, and gives you rocket shooting guns.

There were some problems in Far Cry 2, sure. Enemies spawning at every camp every time you pass...

That's about it.

The game immersed you more than Far Cry 3 ever will, and in-fact, had better AI.

The AI in Far Cry 3 is awful. It's like combating a deaf person with two walls on each side of their head.

The guns in this game are 10x more high-tech than they are in Far Cry 2, so you're completely wrong in that aspect, if that's what you're saying.

You're "Johnny Big-Guns" in this game, not in Far Cry 2. Far Cry 2 made a more "realistic" or gritty experience, immersing you into the game MORE. This game has RPG elements, and a nice giant mini-map on the bottom left part of the screen.
